Position Overview

The Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources is currently seeking to fill the position of Temporary Water Reclamation Operations Assistant, Job Code: 0800201508. Candidate must be available to work up to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist DWR staff with various initiatives related to improving operational efficiencies at Gwinnett County's three wastewater treatment facilities
• Assist facility managers with developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), collecting and reviewing data and developing reports
• Assist with special projects as requested
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Appropriate Majors:

• Must have completed at least one year of college and be working towards a 4 year degree in engineering, environmental science, ecology, biology or chemistry

Requirements:

• Available to work weekdays up to 20 hours per week
• Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to meet requirements to operate a Gwinnett County vehicle
• Moderate physical activity including stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling and the ability to lift 30 pounds

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to operate computers and applicable software
• Can work independently
• Self-starter
• Well organized and dependable
• Follows logical steps for problem solving tasks

Compensation: $15.30 per hour
