Description
Background:
Women's Environment and Development Organization(WEDO) is an
international advocacy organization that works to empower women in all their
diversity who are committed to economic and social justice, a peaceful and
healthy planet and human rights for all, to play a powerful role in policymaking
institutions, fora and processes at all levels worldwide. WEDO utilizes a holistic
approach linking global economic issues to sustainable development and
governance, as well as human rights.
Duties:
The Technology Administrator will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining,
troubleshooting, and supporting WEDO's information technology (hardware
and software).
Technology includes WEDO's network server (Windows 2002
and MS Exchange), (18 Dell) work stations , internet connection (MS
Outlook),website (hosted by Earthlink) and database (Filemaker Pro)systems.
Serves as liaison to outside IT consultants.
Part-time: (15 to 20 hours a week)
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in computer science or information system, or equivalent in
work experience; - ability to communicate in plain language with
program staff with varying levels of computer knowledge; - share tecnology
knowledge effectively; - work independently and collaboratively.
- Non-profit
experience helpful, but not required.
at least 2 yrs in maintenance & support of network and
systems hardware & software;
