Description
Long View Associates, Inc., a nationally recognized licensing and environmental consulting firm specializing in hydroelectric energy development, seeks highly-motivated, self-directed applicants for a technical writer/editor, document manager and assistant project manager position.
Long View assists its clients with project management, outreach and consultation processes, technical workgroup support, technical/scientific document editing, license and permit application development, NEPA document preparation and compliance database management.
Position Overview:
The successful applicant will have excellent writing, editing, organizational and document control skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat are required. The applicant should have significant hands-on experience managing the development, production and filing of complex environmental/permitting documents following project-specific style requirements.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include the coordination of writing by multiple authors, internal review processes and final document production with outside printing firms. Experience working with federal and state regulatory filing requirements and/or experience within a natural resource discipline a plus. The applicant should be able to provide upon request writing and document samples reflecting the required skill set.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will also provide assistance to project managers and must have excellent verbal communication skills, work effectively both as part of a team and independently, have good problem-solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to successfully balance multiple tasks in a deadline-driven work environment. A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of directly applicable technical writing, editing, document management and project management experience are required.
