For our Sales and Proposals Department based in Orlando, FL, we are looking for a Technical Sales Manager who will be responsible for acquisition, bid preparation, contract negotiation and conclusion of a contract with the respective target customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategy for the respective market(s)
- Generate and evaluate sales leads and business opportunities
- Initiation/drafting of tenders, assurance of proper technical and contractual handling
- Coordination of proposal development process
- Develop negotiation strategy, negotiate and manage the process up to the signing of the contract
- Maintain and develop contacts and relationship with customer on appropriate management levels and identify stakeholders
- Collect / analyze market and competitive data and drawing appropriate conclusions for sales strategy
- Analysis of pre-sales activities by won and lost orders and drawing conclusions for sales strategy
- Functional leadership / coaching of the sales team as well as coaching of the associated partners in the regional entities
Requirements:
- Engineering background supplemented with a commercial education
- Team player
- Commercial mind set
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of experience with the tasks mentioned above in industrial B2B (preferably wind industry)
- Has been responsible for complex, international sales and/or proposal projects
- Managerial experience (technical or project) desirable
- Several years working experience abroad and/or working experience in international teams in the context of sales activities
