Siemens Wind Power Americas is looking for a highly qualified candidate to fill a newly established job in the Sales and Proposals Department. For our Sales and Proposals Department based in Orlando, FL, we are looking for a Technical Sales Manager who will be responsible for acquisition, bid preparation, contract negotiation and conclusion of a contract with the respective target customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategy for the respective market(s)
  • Generate and evaluate sales leads and business opportunities
  • Initiation/drafting of tenders, assurance of proper technical and contractual handling
  • Coordination of proposal development process
  • Develop negotiation strategy, negotiate and manage the process up to the signing of the contract
  • Maintain and develop contacts and relationship with customer on appropriate management levels and identify stakeholders
  • Collect / analyze market and competitive data and drawing appropriate conclusions for sales strategy
  • Analysis of pre-sales activities by won and lost orders and drawing conclusions for sales strategy
  • Functional leadership / coaching of the sales team as well as coaching of the associated partners in the regional entities

Requirements:

  • Engineering background supplemented with a commercial education
  • Team player
  • Commercial mind set

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience with the tasks mentioned above in industrial B2B (preferably wind industry)
  • Has been responsible for complex, international sales and/or proposal projects
  • Managerial experience (technical or project) desirable
  • Several years working experience abroad and/or working experience in international teams in the context of sales activities
