Harvest the Wind Network (HTWN) is comprised of 13 independent dealer groups throughout the United States and Canada who provide wind energy solutions from residential to community wind projects. Each independent dealer group has dedicated wind specialists and technicians trained and supported by Harvest the Wind Network.  Service training efforts are supported by our equipment partners in partnership with local community colleges.  Each award winning HTWN dealer has been established and doing business in their local communities for an average of 50 years.  Customer service, support and loyalty are the networks' ambitions and goals.

Gaining momentum very quickly, HTWN currently has installed and is servicing over 125 turbines.  Our nationwide pipeline is in excess of a 100 projects ranging in size from 50kW to 10MW slated for installation during the next 18 months.

Position Overview:

Harvest the Wind Network is seeking a Technical Project Manager to play a leading role in managing technical programs and providing technical project support.

Qualifications:

Must have:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working on wind energy projects
  • Experience managing projects
  • Experience with wind turbine technology
  • Experience with interconnection applications and working with utilities
  • A general understanding of electrical systems
  • Ability to train and teach
  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering or similar technical field
  • Understanding of and ability to produce or coordinate site drawings and electrical schematics
  • Some understanding of distributed generation and the DG industry
  • Ability to work remotely and diligently with minimal supervision
  • Passion for wind energy

Must have some of the following:

  • Experience working with contractors on wind energy projects greater than $250,000
  • Experience with project management software
  • Construction experience, particularly with wind projects
  • In depth knowledge of distributed wind industry
  • Ability to produce project documentation and reports for final submittal to clients, permitting agencies, manufacturers and funding groups
  • Knowledge and experience of distributed wind project process
  • Experience maintaining wind turbines
  • Experience with O&M process and procedures for wind turbine maintenance
  • OSHA Health and Safety training / certification
  • Willingness to travel
