Technical Editor/Document Specialist 

Responsible for all aspects of GEC's written documentation in three main areas: Client Deliverables, In-House Documents, and Marketing Information. 

Client Deliverables: Responsible for editing, formatting, proofing, and finalizing (in Word) written reports and proposals for distribution to clients. Documents types include feasibility studies, wind resource assessments, technical engineering reports, proposals, and marketing materials. Writing portions of documents (e.g., Executive Summary, GEC background information) is also expected. 

GEC's In-House Documents: Responsible for writing and maintaining internal GEC documents such as policies, procedures, handbooks, and forms. Responsible for creating and implementing new look for GEC documents. This includes updating and implementing new styles for reports, proposals, contracts, and other documents. Also includes creating/updating GEC's format and style guides. 

Marketing Materials: Responsible for creating, writing, and maintaining selected company marketing information (e.g., resumes and bios). Responsible for collecting information for and writing project descriptions for marketing purposes. This includes populating and maintaining a project database. 

Required Skills and Education: 

* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Advanced Word skills 
* Attention to detail
* Ability to communicate with authors/engineers
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines
* Ability to proof and correct material 
* Ability to format tables, text, and graphics to match in-house style 
* Ability to work with staff to deliver final documents in a timely manner
* Ability to understand meaning of poorly written text and rewrite in a clear and concise manner. 

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in English (or commensurate experience) and two years of experience.
