~ The McKeever Center is administered by Slippery Rock University on behalf of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. ~
Located near Sandy Lake in Mercer County, our 205-acres provide an ideal setting for teaching about ecology and environmental responsibility. One of our trails connects McKeever to Lake Wilhelm in Goddard State Park.
Position Overview
The McKeever Environmental Learning Center is hiring interns for its fall 2016 programs. Internships begin September 6, 2016.
Responsibilities
- Interns become integral staff members organizing, teaching and delivering exemplary day and residential programs to hundreds of school-aged students.
- During your stay, you will learn and live in a setting that promotes environmental stewardship.
- Our internship (10-12 weeks) provides an opportunity to develop a working knowledge of earth education programs such as Earthkeepers and other programs developed by the McKeever Center.
Compensation: includes a $225/week stipend, approximately 60% of your meals, and free lodging in a fully furnished house.
