This is a challenging opportunity for an accomplished team leader to play a key role in developing and expanding our sustainable travel and road safety capability. With a proven record of successful team leadership and business development in the realms of sustainable travel and highway network safety, you should be confident in your abilities to manage a growing team and a broad spectrum of projects, and ensure that the highest standards of work are consistently delivered.
Responsibilities:
- To undertake project management, representing the key interface with clients, maintaining financial control and reporting to ensure successful delivery and technical excellence in the work of the road safety and network planning team.
- To actively seek business opportunities in road safety engineering, research and network planning for vulnerable road users and to assist in business development necessary to maintain and increase workload in these areas.
- Identify project resource requirements and to resolve issues through workload meeting discussions.
- To contribute to project bidding to produce winning tenders
- Responsibility for technical leadership of less experienced members of staff.
- To mentor junior team members with their personal and professional development and career planning.
- Ensure current QSE standards and in-house business management systems are upheld at every project stage
- Develop good relationships with existing and new clients in order to increase and enhance business to meet business targets
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys working as a team player. You should be able to communicate with clarity at all levels, with colleagues and clients, and possess dependable business management and organisational skills. With the ability to think clearly and write high quality reports, you will be checking the inputs of others and will need to maintain factual records of project progress.

Compensation: Salary 36000 - 44000.
