Sustainable Design Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Sustainable Design Coordinator (SDC) will be instrumental in supporting the Sustainable Design Initiative by assisting and leading efforts related to project implementation, culture change, firm-wide education, strategic development and marketing. The SDC must demonstrate a commitment to and passion for sustainable design throughout all project phases. He/she must embody, support and represent WHR's mission, core values, and Shareholder vision as well as demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Supports the Sustainable Design Leader in developing and delivering the Sustainable Design Initiative
• Attends regular team meetings and works closely with PMs to oversee timely and proper delivery of sustainable design
• Assist in preparation of sustainable design workshops
• Assist project teams in selection of appropriate materials, systems and specifications review for architecture and interior design projects
• Provide LEED documentation management and support for project teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• LEED AP credential
• Minimum 5 years practice in related field or experience in architectural process working with project teams
• Personal commitment, enthusiasm and passion
• Broad based knowledge of sustainability and sustainable design concepts
• Proven interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of LEED Certification and Documentation process. Preference given to candidates with documentation experience.
• Basic understanding of green building rating systems
• Team building and collaboration skills across AEC disciplines
• Has initiative and is self-motivated

Preferred Competencies and Skills:

• Proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint
• Preference given to candidates with Revit experience/capabilities
• Experience with Ecotect or IES softwares preferred
