Summary
The Sustainable Design Coordinator is responsible for managing energy efficiency and sustainable design consultation projects for HMC Point B Studio.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

LEED/CHPS/GGHC project coordination, Division of the State Architect Energy Plan Review coordination, energy modeling and analysis, sustainability feasibility studies, life cycle cost analysis, product and materials research, sustainability program planning, participation and possible coordination of green building charettes, and green specification writing. 

Competencies

Education: Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Science in an engineering-related discipline required. You must be willing to acquire LEED Accreditation, if you don't already have it. 

Experience in the design and/or project management of at least one LEED project is required. Must have a general understanding of building envelopes, mechanical, and lighting systems. Must be well versed in non-residential California Title 24 Energy Efficiency codes. Proficiency in any of the following applications is desirable: energy modeling, electric lighting and daylight modeling, life cycle analysis, life cycle costing, or computational fluid dynamics. An understanding of landscaping, stormwater management, or commissioning is also desirable.
