Description

Healthy Buildings works with building owners and managers to optimize indoor environments, increase operating efficiencies and lower business risks. The result is a more sustainable building and an improved bottom line for our clients. We do this with hands-on inspections of building systems, detailed reporting and world-class communications.

Position Overview:

In the key role of Project Manager, you will experience all the benefits of working for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup subsidiary company while having a broad impact on the built environment. The position will be located in our New York City Office and report to the Director of Corporate Sustainability.

As a Project Manager, you will help manage our commercial, corporate and government sustainability projects, including, but not limited to, the pursuit of LEED and BOMA 360 certification and Energy Star Labeling, in addition to working with clients to develop corporate sustainability programs. You will work with our sales and technical team and position them for success by anticipating and delivering upon our clients' needs. The projects often run on aggressive timelines and include coordination among clients, industry partners, and internal team members.

In the role of Project Manager, you will have multiple tasks and cross-functional initiatives including, but not limited to, project and client management, proposal and report generation, and budget tracking. You will communicate with clients, develop and deliver presentations, facilitate team and client support, and manage project tasks with minimal oversight. You will efficiently manage your time to deliver high quality products to clients and team members. As an integral member of a collaborative team, you will conduct research to identify potential markets worth targeting.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or technical field and have a minimum of 1 year of LEED project management experience. You are a LEED Accredited Professional (AP). You have a solid background in project management, are self-motivated, and can anticipate changes in the marketplace. You enjoy problem solving and can work effectively with multiple, simultaneous requests from team members and clients. You must possess strong written and verbal presentation skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities while remaining flexible in your daily activities. You have a strong ability to research online, learn new technologies, and communicate findings to others. Experience in the real-estate industry is a plus, as is demonstration of the ability to anticipate and act proactively in a professional manner.

Compensation: Salaries at Healthy Buildings are competitive and commensurate with work experience. We offer extensive employee benefits to include a 401(k) plan with a generous employer match, medical, dental and vision insurance, life, AD&D, and short-term disability insurance, as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). We promote a work-life balance and provide significant paid time off (PTO).
