Description

About Green Project: Green Project is a SaaS-based carbon accounting and ESG management platform. Under increasing pressure from regulators, investors, customers and employees, businesses—especially small and medium businesses—are struggling to calculate and report on their GHG emissions.

Using Green Project’s platform, businesses of any size can begin tracking and monitoring their footprints. Ultimately, our platform provides the tools our customers need to begin tracking and reducing their corporate carbon footprint in compliance with the GHG Protocol.

Job Overview: Join Green Project as a Sustainability Manager and be a part of a fast-growing climate tech company that's making a positive impact on the environment. As a crucial member of our team, you'll be at the forefront of helping our clients better understand their carbon footprint. With end-to-end communication and close collaboration, you'll be a trusted advisor providing guidance on how to best utilize our Carbon Accounting SaaS platform. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of sustainability, grow as a leader, and make a real difference in the fight against climate change.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to set up their carbon accounting and reporting on our platform, and advise on the most efficient path for data collection.
  • Determine clients' organizational boundaries for carbon accounting purposes, and ensure accurate and comprehensive data is collected.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and sustainability, to ensure accurate and comprehensive carbon accounting.
  • Prepare and present carbon footprint reports to clients, and participate in sustainability-related reporting and disclosure initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry developments and regulations related to carbon accounting and sustainability reporting.
  • Support the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and projects within the company.

Requirements:

  • Experience in carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of carbon accounting methodologies and regulations, including the GHG Protocol (or willingness to learn fast!).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a relentless focus on client success.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and data analysis, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.

What We Offer:

  • A dynamic and fast-paced work environment, with significant opportunities for growth and professional development.
  • The chance to be part of and lead a growing, fast-moving team and make a significant impact on the environment.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • A supportive and inclusive culture, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.

Remote Work

Green Project embraces remote work, and our team comprises talented individuals who work across the US and in several other countries. Our largest presence is in NYC, and employees in the NYC area are invited to join us for occasional working-in-person days, but these are never required.

Apply!

If you're passionate about sustainability and have a track record of success in carbon accounting (or a desire to pivot into climate tech!), we want to hear from you! Apply now to join our team and help our clients achieve their sustainability goals.

Don't meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Green Project we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
