The City of Fayetteville, Arkansas is looking for an energetic, creative, team leader to develop and implement sustainable programs that will reduce environmental impacts.
Overview
The Sustainability Coordinator will lead efforts to develop and implement a sustainability plan for the City. The primary goals of the position are to foster the creation of programs that promote urban sustainability and assist divisions to reduce environmental impacts from operations and improve environmental performance. Incumbent will partner with division heads to creatively incorporate the best ecological practices and policies into viable programs that will enable the City to reduce the consumption of utilities. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public administration, urban planning, environmental sciences or related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in a similar scope of accountability. Knowledge of sustainability concepts, regulatory compliance, policy and programs development, and effective measures to reduce environmental impacts.
