Position Summary

Due to rapid growth Country Archer has created the new role of Supply Chain Plant Planner to assist the Supply Chain Manager and Plant Manager in continuing to scale the manufacturing capabilities of the company. The Supply Chain Plant Planner will be responsible for putting the processes and tools in place that will allow the plant to perform at peek efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan finished goods to predetermined inventory levels
  • Publish weekly plans for production and capacity
  • Understand production bottlenecks and constraints to plan efficient runs
  • Optimize production time by minimizing flavor and species changeovers
  • Plan raw materials and coordinate delivery of raw materials using time phased reorder point system and backward scheduling.
  • Plan distribution requirements to supply central warehouses through demand aggregation
  • Update demand plans and raw material forecasts based on information from sales and historical data
  • Manage BOMs and item set up in the MRP system
  • Track raw material costs, and operating metrics such as DIO, lead time, fill rate, W&D expenses, along with other ad hoc operations related reporting
  • Update safety stock requirements, raw material holding quantities based on order lead time, in stock %, and availability of space
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
  • Plan production to ensure timely fulfillment of orders, strong inventory management, and optimal production runs
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials to both avoid disruptions to production as well as minimize the excess inventory on site
  • Work with plant manager to optimize plant capacity and plan for future capacity expansions

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Analytical Major
  • Minimum 3 years of supply chain management experience
  • Preferably has understanding of lean manufacturing
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as ability to work well with other departments
  • Must be technically advanced in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must be organized, deadline driven, detailed oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently, and possess excellent time management skills. Must have proven complex multi-tasking capabilities.
