Sustainalytics was formed from the merger between Sustainalytics B.V. and Jantzi Research Inc. in September 2009. Today the merged firm has more than 80 employees in Amsterdam, Boston, Frankfurt, Madrid and Toronto. Globally the company operates as Sustainalytics and as Jantzi-Sustainalytics in North America.
Position Overview:
- Support dynamic teams committed to responsible investing and sustainability
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of responsible investing
- Develop knowledge of various industry segments
- Develop knowledge of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria and performance
- Be coached and mentored by experienced team members
Responsibilities:
- Research, analyze and rate the ESG performance of publicly traded companies and prepare profiles to be published in the Sustainalytics Platform
- Support the preparation of off-the-shelf and customized deliverables for clients
- Participate in other client-focused or internal projects for Sustainalytics
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in related discipline (environment, social sciences or business)
- Demonstrated passion for sustainability
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent business writing skills
- Strong public speaking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Meticulousness and attentiveness to detail
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Academic background in finance considered an asset.
Compensation: USD 900 stipend per month
Job Type: Full-time, temporary (May 31 - August 31, 2011)
