John Deere Credit has also recently entered the renewable energy arena with a business unit that focuses on community-based wind projects. The company has already invested in a host of wind energy projects in the rural United States, which not only will drive additional income for farmers but will also meet our nation's growing demand for electricity.
 
As the demand for wind energy continues to grow, John Deere Credit is poised and ready to provide project development, debt financing and other services to those interested in harvesting the wind domestically and abroad.
 
Position Overview:
 
John Deere Credit is looking for a Strategic Account Manager in the Agricultural Financial Services Division to manage the transition to JDC financing and growth for several key accounts.  The Strategic Account Manager develops a marketing and sales plan for each account and manages the execution of these plans.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Generate incremental finance volume from assigned national accounts by managing program development, pricing and program implementation. Responsible for the account relationship across the US and Canada (where applicable).  
  • Develop and build key relationships to gain a preferred sales position with these identified accounts.  
  • Execute merchant and sponsorship agreements for all assigned national accounts as needed.  
  • Ensure agreements are up-to-date and reflect the current status of the account relationship with Farm Plan and AgLine.  
  • Develop and expand relationships at appropriate levels to execute a strategic selling plan.  
  • Manage after sale support activities with key assigned accounts, to ensure long term, profitable merchant and customer relationships.  
  • Assist Strategic Account Management Team by developing ideas, marketing and operational strategies in conjunction with the support groups and management.  
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the support groups of Marketing, Credit Operations and other functional areas to achieve overall AFS non-Deere volume goal.  
  • Maximize ASM support and relationships for strategic accounts by providing them the tools, support, and resources to achieve volume goals.  
  • Participate in other activities as requested.  This will include projects, sales meeting activity, and budgeting/forecasting for the Region.

  • Possesses proven sales and/or marketing experience  
  • Experience with pricing models and/or pricing our finance products  
  • Knowledge of the Agricultural market and industry products and services  
  • Successful negotiating and conflict resolution skills  
  • Knowledge of dealers and other channels  
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks  
  • Five or more years experience in the Ag finance, sales/marketing industry

Education:

  • Degree in a Business/Management, Agricultural Sciences discipline or equivalent experience.
