Position Overview
Twining, Inc. an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection Company with 100 years of history, is seeking a Stormwater Project Manager for the Los Angeles & Orange County regions.
Responsibilities include construction SWPPP inspections based on the requirements of the Construction General Permit 2009-0009-DWQ, during rain event stormwater sampling and analysis, and report writing. The following is an overview of the positon's roles and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform SWPPP inspections; weekly, pre-storm, during storm, and post storm, sampling and analysis of qualifying rain events and all associated reports;
- Interpret environmental laws, regulations and guidelines to analyze complex situations and provide guidance to owners, general contractors, construction managers, municipalities;
- Manage project life cycles including; proposals, change orders, billing and project close out;
- Conduct reviews of project plans during the development phase, providing input and guidance on issues related to Storm Water Pollution Prevention, Erosion and Sediment Control compliance;
- BMP selection and specifications;
- Stormwater facility maintenance recommendations and planning;
- Upload/download to and from State Website, SMARTs;
- Meter calibration and sampling
- Provide regular staff, budget, and project reporting updates to management;
- Work with existing clients to uncover new business while maintaining healthy client relationships;
- Perform technical presentations and training; and,
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must hold or have the ability to obtain within 14 months a CPESC (Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control) and/or CSSWI (Certified Erosion Sediment and Stormwater Inspector) CPSWQ, CESWI and the QSP and/or QSD credential or equivalent field experience;
- 2 or more years of Stormwater compliance related work experience;
- Experience with Developing/Designing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP's) for CGP and ICP a plus;
- Results-oriented with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and time line;
- Comfortable with both field and office work;
- Proven management, sales, negotiating and budgeting experience;
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and walk steep terrain;
- Strong communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills; and,
- Individual will be responsibile for inspections throughout the Los Angeles and northern Orange County regions, therefore candidates must possess reliable transportaton and a clean driving record.
