Stewardship Associate

Duties:

Growing Land Trust in central Washington State has Spring or Summer opportunity for part-time or full-time intern to help with natural resource inventories, ArcView GIS mapping, database and website management, and development and implementation of stewardship plans.

Qualifications:

The qualified candidate should possess some or all of the following computer skills:

• proficiency with ArcView GIS software;
• proficiency with MS Access;
• familiarity with Adobe graphics software;
• basic website design and maintenance skills.

The successful candidate will also meet some or all of the following criteria:

• familiarity and interest in the contemporary land trust movement;
• strong writing skills;
• knowledge of shrub-steppe/sageland ecology;
• knowledge of riparian ecology and pacific salmon issues;
• knowledge of dry forest ecology;
• interest in ornithology;
• ability to contribute both in the office and in the field.
