New Energy Options, Inc. of Littleton, Massachusetts (NEO) is an electrical engineering and solar consulting firm with a focus on R&D and electrical design for photovoltaic and solar thermal systems, as well as other renewable energy and distributed generation technologies.
Position Overview:
New Energy Options, Inc. seeks an electrical engineer with utility distribution or industrial/commercial (medium and low voltage) design experience to assist in the design large-scale photovoltaic system from 100kW to multi-megawatt scale. An understanding of solar resource assessment a plus, however no direct renewable energy experience is required.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include production of AutoCAD drawings for electrical design and system layout. New Energy Options Inc. will provide on the job training in solar resource assessment, solar photovoltaic system design, solar thermal system design, and data collection and processing and specialty component design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, a Master's degree preferred.
- 4 to 5 years commercial, industrial and/or utility electrical design experience.
- EIT (Engineer In Training).
