SRA is looking for a senior analyst/program manager to lead a small interdisciplinary team of motivated and dynamic scientists and policy analysts. Responsible for managing large projects and contracts, developing new business opportunities, mentoring staff, and providing technical expertise for a variety of projects and tasks. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of water resource issues, coupled with an interdisciplinary understanding of environmental problem solving.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
10 to 15 years water resources or related experience with in depth knowledge of federal and state regulatory programs. Candidates should be able to demonstrate management and leadership of analytical and research efforts involving quantitative and qualitative techniques including technical reports, policy analysis and opinions, reports to Congress, communication materials and training materials. Subject matter expertise in several of the following areas is desired: watershed management, wetlands, water quality monitoring, coastal zone management, invasive species, marine issues, sewage overflows, TMDLs, storm water management, contaminated sediments, toxics and the NPDES program. Applicants should be well versed in the Clean Water Act and other relevant EPA policies and guidance, as they relate to water resource issues. Experience also desired in water resources programs and issues associated with USACE, USGS, NOAA, and USFWS. Successful candidates must possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
