This position is available in San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Atlanta and Los Angeles.

Call2Action is a start-up company with offices in London and New York. The Call2Action network is comprised of a global online video network which will be broadcast on multiple platforms including Joost, coupled with a social network, Call2Action.net, committed to causes.

The video network features inspiring, motivational and solutions-oriented documentaries. The social network then enables users to connect and collaborate with other like-minded individuals around the issues addressed in our video content, and to contribute directly to causes through Calls To Action.

Our mission is to inspire people with media, empower them with opportunities, and enable them to work together to maximize the positive impact on our planet. Both the channel and the website will launch beta in April 2008. The project is incredibly exciting and rewarding and our company is expected to grow explosively fast!

Position Overview:

The Call2Action Network is seeking a Sales and Sponsorship Associate to develop partnerships and generate ad revenue for our online TV channel and social network for social causes. This is a 'for good' company with a mission you can get excited about.

Responsibilities include:

You'll be responsible for all aspects of selling from prospecting to closing the sale—obtaining sales meetings, creating sales presentations, negotiating the terms of the sponsorship and providing excellent customer service.

- Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals established by management
- Manage and update regular retail sales reports as directed by management
- Maintain detailed sales projections for online sponsors and other programs as assigned
- Maintain sales account history and call reports about prospect status, industry trends, and other information that impacts Call2Action's success in the marketplace
- Engage in customer communication and meet with prospects and clients to successfully build business partnerships
- Execute high-level follow-up in all sales efforts and provide excellent customer service; includes following customer activity from sale to final payment
- Meet with clients and prospects year round to successfully close sales and develop strong business relationships

Qualifications:

- BA/BS (or equivalent degree)
- 3-5 years successful advertising or sponsorship sales experience online, in television, and sustainable business
- Strong understanding of social networking environment
- Experience with sales to sustainable businesses (eco, fair trade, organic etc.)
- Capability and motivation to continually research new sales prospects, network and cold call in an effort to maximize sales revenue and create partnerships integral to Call2Action’s mission
- Excellent scheduling, organizational and time management skills along with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills enabling the ability to describe our goals and convey our mission to prospective sponsors
- Ability to create and deliver sales presentations
- Self-motivation, high-energy, and enthusiasm for social causes
- Ability to meet critical deadlines
- Flexibility to travel as needed 
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales goals
