Position Overview: 

ESA is offering an unusual career opportunity for the right individual as Regional Director for the firm's Southern California operations. This officer-level position allows for continuing professional growth combined with company leadership in a major market.

The Southern California Regional Director will join a dedicated core of senior people in a collegial work environment. This position would have operations responsibility for 26 regional staff, including 20 in our growing downtown LA office, 10 in the San Diego and 6 in Woodland Hills offices, as well as the expectation for hands-on engagement in project work and business development.

Responsibilities: 

The region's sizeable work backlog includes an array of interesting projects in the community development, energy, water, airports, renewable resources, cultural and biological resources management business areas, among others.

Qualifications: 

The suitable candidate would be a senior environmental manager, scientist, planner or engineer with strong personnel management skills and broad experience in environmental planning, CEQA and NEPA impact assessment and documentation, permitting, and environmental compliance for development projects and resource management programs.
