Solarecity Electric designs, installs, services, and maintains high quality solar electric systems for Northern California home and business owners. Solarecity Electric is a SunPower Premier dealer and a certified BP Solar installer.
Position Overview:
Solarecity Electric is seeking qualified candidates with experience in sales and the design of photovoltaic systems. This person should be able to make initial contact with a potential customer, evaluate their needs and the viability of a project, and initiate the design process and client relationship. Must have ability to review and specify necessary equipment components from equipment manufacturers. Qualified applicants should be able to write proposals, use and modify spreadsheets for estimating costs and calculating long term economics, and design systems to the basic one line electrical and schematic structural level.
Responsibilities:
- Client prospecting
- Sales of photovoltaic systems
- Site assessments for photovoltaic installation
- Feasibility analysis for photovoltaic system
- Photovoltaic system design and equipment specification
- Cost estimating and spreadsheet modeling for product and project offerings
- Proposal preparation
- Prospect relationship management and customer education
- Evaluation of architectural integration for photovoltaic projects
- Serving as a link with Solarecity Electric to respond with innovative technological solutions for customers
Qualifications:
- Work experience in residential or commercial photovoltaic systems
- Sales and customer service experience
- Knowledge of sales process, business principles, and financing options
- Organizational skills: Ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Computer experience
- Work well in team environment
Desired Experience:
- Experience with energy technologies other than photovoltaics
- Engineering electrical degree
