Responsibilities:

  • Provide both pre-sales and post-sales technical product marketing support for the development and implementation of customer applications dealing with GLM-2000 family of PV Metrology products
  • Make technical presentations regarding all aspects of Spectra PV products
  • Assist sales staff in assessing potential application of GLM products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications
  • Implement detailed customer installation requirements
  • Provide applications support for field personnel including field applications engineers
  • Provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications to service personnel, company sales representatives, and customers' employees
  • Conduct technical presentations, training sessions on Spectra GLM products -including customer site visits
  • Provide on-site and other support for training, installation & process development
  • Assist with in-house applications development and process qualification
  • Define new applications requirements and coordinate with engineering for their design and implementation at customer sites
  • Write applications notes and technical papers for submission to both internal and external technical forums

Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Physics or Electrical Engineering
  • Solid understanding of crystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) metrology equipment and techniques required
  • Knowledge of c-Si Solar and FPD processing equipment and processes a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with perseverance and self-confidence essential to work at all levels within the customers' and
    internal organizations
  • Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office tools
  • Travel (both domestic and international) up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese
