Solar Project Engineer

Solar Renewable Energy (SRE), a Pennsylvania Limited Liability Corporation, was formed in January 2010 as a result Mr. Berry's long-time association with ParenteBeard, a well-established public accounting firm. Collectively, SRE has financed, developed and installed 40 solar energy systems, 28 of which have been completed generating over 7.8 megawatts total output. These solar systems comprise about eight percent of all new solar energy output in Pennsylvania since 2009. With an asset value of $35 million, SRE is a driving force behind new solar energy generation throughout the mid Atlantic region of the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Design commercial solar photovoltaic systems, including but not limited to the electrical, structural and mechanical aspects of the projects.
• Attend client meetings to plan the locations of equipment and interconnection to the sites existing electrical system.
• Produce AutoCAD-based designs and drawings for commercial solar photovoltaic projects.
• Multidisciplinary engineering design to produce the associated details necessary to direct installation contractors.
• Represent Solar Renewable Energy LLC as an experienced and knowledgeable team member.
• Contribute to an amicable working environment with other associates and employees.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• 1 - 2 years of commercial, solar photovoltaic systems design experience is required. Solar Renewable Energy LLC will not consider candidates without this minimum industry experience.
• Electrical Professional Engineering license preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code, the International Building Code and other related codes and standards.
• Self-motivated and committed to excellence.
• Proven AutoCAD, shading analysis and other graphical skills.
• Some level of hands-on construction and / or solar photovoltaic installation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients of all disciplines.
• Excellent PC computer skills.
• A Can Do positive attitude.
