Description

Occidental Power is a licensed California Solar Contractor offering design, installation, maintenance, and service of both commercial and residential solar photovoltaic, thermal, and natural gas cogeneration systems.

Based in San Francisco, Occidental Power has designed and installed solar energy and cogeneration systems for over 15 years. We've installed the majority of the solar systems in San Francisco, pioneering the city's initial residential and commercial solar installations.

Job Description:

The Solar Office Manager handles all bookkeeping, financial analysis, rebate administration and contract management for the company.  There is the potential for growth into a Business Manager position for a candidate with a background and interest in business administration, development and finance.

Qualifications:

The Solar Office Manager should have the following skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the California Solar Initiative rebate process
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Pro 2007 (or comparable version)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to be part of a cooperative team
  • Strong financial understanding and background preferred

Responsibilities:

The Solar Office Manager's responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Bookkeeping - Invoice and payment entry, A/R and A/P, Credit card and Bank Account Reconciliation, Payroll
  • Project Management - Contract entry, Invoicing, Customer Service as related to financial aspects of the project
  • Rebate - Process reservation and claim documents, process client payments, track reservations and payments thoroughly and accurately
  • Finance - Cashflow analysis, review P&L and Balance Sheet statements
  • Vendor relations - Complete credit applications, submit Purchase Orders and manage delivery of major system components
  • General office management - Maintain general email account, order supplies, answer phones, file invoices
