Ely Beach Solar is a highly advanced solar thermal system provider. We are an engineering and installation company, focusing on systems design, data monitoring, information technology, and proprietary solar advances.
We install large-scale solar hot water systems for commercial clients located in and around the New York City area. We engineer our systems to deliver the maximum available energy, while balancing out cost and payback. Solar hot water systems reduce the consumption of natural gas, oil or electricity used for heating domestic hot water. By offsetting fossil fuels with solar energy, building managers are able to realize significant cost savings in their operating expenses, giving a fast payback and making solar hot water systems a good investment.
Responsibilities:
We currently are seeking a highly motivated sales representative who will be based in our New York City office and will:
- Make telephone calls to prospective clients and solicit business
- Maintain contact with existing and potential clients.
- Go on site visits to meet with prospective clients and educate clients on the technology.
- Prepare proposals with price and service quotations for clients.
- Negotiate system pricing with clients, within established limits.
- Secure, review, process and expedite orders.
- Write orders, keep records, maintain files, and report on all phases of activities including sales recaps.
- Respond to client service issues, resolve complaints concerning invoicing, shipping, or product problems.
- Assist with client financing, including the credit application process, and communicating financing terms and conditions to clients.
- Train and mentor co-workers.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and applicable government regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field is preferred, along with 2 to 5 years of experience in specific industry or related industry preferred.
- Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with clients and company personnel.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills, strong work ethic, be highly organized, and have good oral and written communication skills.
- Can work independently and regularly make decisions that increase sales and profit.
- Displays comprehensive knowledge of all business products, along with all competitor products.
- Ability to deliver comprehensive presentation of products and services.
- Displays confidence when handling difficult customers and/or objections.
- Fully understands the business from the client's perspective, including installation issues from field construction experience.
