The Prometheus Institute, a Cambridge, MA-based non-profit is looking to fill a full-time position performing and presenting research on solar energy topics.
About The Prometheus Institute:
Founded in 2003, the Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development is a US-based non-profit focusing on collecting and disseminating information on all types of technology and processes used in promoting global economic, industrial, and societal sustainable development. The Institute attempts to develop methods by which the power of markets and industry can be used to support deployment of socially-optimal solutions in sustainable energy.
Areas of Research:
The Prometheus Institute is currently focusing on opportunities in the industry of solar energy and photovoltaics, including current rates and forms of its growth and its competitiveness in both the developed and developing world.
The Institute has a forthcoming book, Solar Revolution, which describes a novel analysis of the changing dynamics of the wider energy and renewable energy industry and solar energy's role in it. Much of the anticipated research will continue to develop the themes of this book.
Expected Responsibilities:
* Collect primary data on the Global Solar Energy Supply Chain and Market Applications.
* Interface with companies, analysts, and advocates to collect needed data and perspective.
* Develop and maintain Institute's Industry Research Note initiatives.
* Prepare Full length reports for wider dissemination.
* Monitor one Research Assistant initially, add additional ones subsequently.
* Develop necessary background databases and files to support the research agenda.
Compensation: Market-based compensation with potential for advancement.
