Description
Natcore Technology is a solar research and development company that has enabling technology to dramatically increase solar cell efficiencies and at the same time reduce manufacturing costs. This technology will also allow for the solar cell production that eradicates the need for toxic saline and intensive energy currently used in applying the anti-reflective coating on cells.
The company has exclusive license agreements with Rice University and the Department of Energy (DOE) that will allow Natcore to commercialize these technologies which will have a major impact on the solar industry in the short term. These license agreements have made it possible for Natcore to have 17 granted patents and 13 pending patents. The company also has joint ventures with major manufacturers in China and Italy.
Last year, Natcore completed the build out of our research and development center, including a 5,000 square foot clean room at the Kodak Business Park in Rochester NY. Today, Natcore is enthusiastic about expanding its intellectual scientific depth in Rochester.
Position Overview:
Advanced degree person (MS or higher) with experience in commercial solar cell production line processes to work in black silicon solar cell production tool design and development. Chemical engineering background preferred.
