Position Overview:
My client is a manufacturer and developer of high efficiency photovoltaic (PV) cells using crystalline silicon and is establishing manufacturing plants globally. As part of their expansion they are looking for a solar cell and module yield engineer to ensure that the high quality of cells and modules being manufactured is maintained.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced yield engineer to join an exciting company led by an inspirational management team and take a key step in the advancement of their careers.
Core Criteria: My client is seeking a solar cell and module yield engineer to maintain the quality of products being supplied and to assist in the improvement of product yield.
Responsibilities:
- Define yield matrix for pilot lines and develop the framework for high-volume manufacturing yield control
- Hit yield targets for overall product line and optimize yield at each step of the manufacturing process
- Analyse extensive data sets to identify possible areas for yield improvement through statistical analysis.
- Frequent use of statistical software such as JMP, SPC++
- Adopt statistical methodology like 6 sigma, SPC and DOE.
- Enable good manufacture flow in the pilot line or HVM (high-volume manufacturing) to maximize yield output.
Qualifications:
- Must educated to MSc level or above in electrical engineering, material science, physics, or chemical engineering
- Will have 5-7 years experience in testing and analysis of yield in the solar or semiconductor industries
- Must be familiar with the digital force gauge
- Experience in JMP, SPC++, 6 sigma, SPC and DOE
- Will be based on the West Coast of America
- Be willing to travel nationally and internationally when required
- Key Skills: Solar PV, Crystalline Silicon Cell and or Module, Semiconductor, Quality/Reliability Testing
Compensation: $80-140k
