Position Overview:
As a member of the Professional Services Team, this Software Developer will create documentation and software for customer engagements. This individual will work with clients to ensure that their deliverables are meeting customer requirements and expectations. The successful candidate will have the ability to multiplex and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, fluid environment. This individual will have experience interacting with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Create software deliverables for Professional services engagements.
- Follow and continuously improve professional services processes and procedures.
- Perform extensive, effective unit testing of software deliverables to meet or exceed customer quality expectations.
- In cooperation with Sensus Marketing and Development teams, incorporate client product feedback into RNI product life cycle.
- Ability to interact with customers remotely and in person as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science.
- Demonstrated use of Java application development technologies as well as a solid understanding and practical use of specific Java development technologies implementing Struts, JMS, XML, SQL, SOA (classroom experience is fine)
- Demonstrated experience with object oriented design and development techniques using Java technologies and Service Oriented Architecture (classroom experience is fine).
- Java/J2EE is a must-have.
- Up to 20% travel will be required, based on customer demands. Travel for this role however will not be weekly. This will be a minimal amount of travel.
