Social Media Manager

PeopleTowels is the newest green life style product; a sustainable on-the-go alternative to paper towels to save trees and reduce landfill waste.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a part-time Social Media Manager who is passionate about environmental issues and wants to help us spread the word about the importance of sustainability for our future.

Responsibilities:

• Be the voice of PeopleTowels, managing our daily presence on Facebook and Twitter, and writing our monthly newsletter
• Inspire our fans and attract new ones with content that is engaging, promotions that are fun and rewarding, and building an authentic relationship with our supporters
• Establish relationships with the best like-minded brands and create ‘can't miss' cross-promotions.
• Research topics that align with the interests of our fans
• Write interesting (‘not-your-run-of-the-mill') monthly email newsletters
• Recommend and execute creative ways to leverage Social Media to better spread the word about PeopleTowels.

Qualifications:

• Passionate about the environment. At PeopleTowels we believe that every person can have an impact on the environment by making small lifestyle changes. We are looking for a person that "walks the walks".
• Social Media Skills: Must have experience with both Facebook and Twitter, preferably within a business environment. Will consider candidates that can demonstrate that he/she can transfer personal skills to a business.
• Solid Writing Skills: Possess an engaging conversational style, coupled with solid writing skills to assure interesting, accurate, and grammatically correct writing.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual, fast paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Experience in online marketing, social media marketing, or traditional CPG marketing a plus.

Compensation: Hourly. This is a part-time (20 hours a week) contract job.
