Social Enterprise Internship

GatherWell is a well-being community and social enterprise offering seasonal, ultra-fresh body care products made with ingredients from local farms handcrafted by women in transition.

Position Overview: 

We are looking for highly motivated interns who are:

1. Interested in exploring the meaning of well-being and working to create conditions for greater well-being
2. Believers in social enterprise, and want to be involved in a substantial way on the ground floor of GatherWell
3. Passionate about reinventing the traditional "beauty" market, working with women in transition and/or supporting local living economies

While we are open to all creative ideas for internships that would support our mission, particular areas of need include:

• Community (on-line and in-person) Building: Leverage in-person and on-line events as well as social media to build the GatherWell community
• Product Research and Development: Help continue development of GatherWell’s line of seasonal, ultra-fresh body care products, and work on packaging, delivery
• CSA Partnership Research and Development: Build relationships with CSAs for obtaining product ingredients and developing the GatherWell community
• Non-profit development and Grant Writing: Be involved in program development to create self-sufficiency among women in transition.

Qualifications: 

Commitment:

• First and foremost, commitment to social enterprise and GatherWell’s mission and principles. Commitment to high self-motivation and dedication.
• Minimum commitment of 8 hours a week for 4 months, weekly meeting required, other time commitment flexible.
• While location is not a prerequisite, applicants in the San Francisco Bay Area are preferred.

Compensation: Internships are unpaid.
