Description

Our client, Calvert Group, Ltd., is a fast growing asset management and mutual fund company and is recognized primarily for its focus on two distinct investment approaches: socially responsible investing (SRI) and fixed income asset management.

Calvert is recognized as a leader and innovator in SRI and distributes the largest family of SRI funds. Its in-house social research department is considered the largest in the US among money managers. The company has received numerous awards for its fixed income capabilities and most recently has been recognized by Barron's as the #1 taxable fixed income family for 2004.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Ameritas Acacia Mutual Holding Co., Calvert manages 32 funds across all asset classes - money market, fixed income and equity. Calvert's socially responsible funds are invested in companies that meet rigourous financial, environmental, social and governance criteria. Calvert serves individual and institutional investors nationwide as well as professional financial advisors. Founded in 1976, the firm launched its first socially screened fund in 1982 and introduced its Calvert Social Index benchmark in 2000.

Located in Bethesda, Maryland, the organization's investment approach emphasizes rigorous fundamental research that goes beyond traditional measures to uncover companies with long-term value. Today, more than 400,000 investors entrust over $10 billion in assets to Calvert.
