About the Position:
PECI seeks a Senior Strategic Marketing Manager to provide management and direction to the Residential strategic marketing teams for multiple energy efficiency programs. This position provides oversight for all aspects of marketing plan creation, implementation, tracking project progress and evaluating effectiveness, including marketing campaigns, print materials, website content, communication tools, promotional components and trade ally support. Target audiences include retailers, consumers, home builders, HVAC contractors, business owners and manufacturers.
The ideal candidate would have exceptional staff and time management skills along with a proven ability to successfully develop and direct marketing strategies from conception through implementation. Candidates should have experience in analysis and evaluation of marketing campaign effectiveness and ROI goals.
Responsibilities:
- Drive development of strategic marketing plans, working with program teams to determine marketing goals, priorities and promotional concepts
- Support marketing efforts for multiple programs, managing internal staff to support and direct work
- Develop staff resources providing mentoring, coaching and performance reviews
- Provide oversight and direction for media buying and public relations efforts on behalf of our clients' programs.
- Ensure the appropriate tracking mechanisms are in place to facilitate the tracking and evaluation of marketing effectiveness
- Oversee multiple program marketing budgets and marketing forecasts
- Work closely with program managers and teams to become familiar with products and services in order to develop marketing messages and ensure each project is in alignment with marketing goals
- Work on proposal teams to create the marketing portion of RFP responses
- Develop and nurture relationships with client marketing counterparts
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in strategic marketing development, project management and people management required
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required. Master's degree preferred
- Ability to think and communicate creatively and strategically
- Strong analytical skills (business model building, results tracking and interpretation)
- Ability to interpret and apply market research data to strategic plans
- Experience in budget and resource management for multiple projects
- Demonstrated team building and management skills
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills
- Strong leadership, communication and persuasion skills
- Flexible with the ability to work with a variety of staff meeting dynamic demand
