Position Overview 

Carbon60 Networks is seeking a talented Sales Representative to hunt down and help close new opportunities in the private and public sector. The Sales Representative will be part of a team responsible for setting sales and marketing strategy and executing on daily sales activities ensuring revenue attainment. The successful candidate must have a background in IT services and have built a network of contacts within organizations that consume enterprise-class cloud hosting services. 

Responsibilities  

Core Function: 

  • Hunt for new business opportunities.
  • Nurture opportunities through the sales cycle with support of a solutions engineer and senior management.  

Key Activities: 

  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.
  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to prospective customers.
  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for prospective customers with assistance of a solutions engineer and senior management.
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, and technical service groups.
  • Maintains accurate record of sales activities in company CRM.
  • Identifies advantages and compares organization's products/services.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas. 

Performance Measures: 

  • Achievement of pipeline objectives and all recurring revenue targets as determined by CEO. 

Qualifications 

Education and/or Experience:  

  • University degree and post degree training in sales methodologies.
  • At least 7 years sales experience with deep understanding of managed hosting market.
  • Must be self- motivated with strong time management skills and keen abilities to set and achieve priorities.
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, function well under pressure, delegate effectively, and ability to remain positive and constructive under stress.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, effective listening and presentation skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include infrequent evening and/or weekend meetings.
  • Must be able to speak effectively before customers.
  • Must be able to speak before large groups at industry events.
  • Must be fluent in the English language
  • Fluency in French is desirable.
  • Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
