Senior Restoration Ecologist

EcoSystems Restoration Associates (ERA), a Division of P&D Consultants, is soliciting resumes from qualified individuals for the position of Senior Restoration Ecologist for our San Diego office in California. This is a regular, full-time salaried position and salary will be based on individual qualifications and experience. 

Responsibilities include: 

1. Conduct habitat assessments and feasibilities studies for native habitat restoration projects including data collection and analysis, evaluation of disturbed sites, and identification of opportunities and constraints for native habitat creation.    
2. Develop Restoration/Mitigation plans, specifications and cost estimates.      
3. Develop monitoring programs for restoration efforts.    
4. Develop Integrated Weed Management Plans and evaluate their effectiveness in the control of invasive plant species. 

Qualifications: 

1. Graduate degree in restoration ecology, biology, environmental sciences, or related field; bachelor's degree with equivalent experience and background will also be considered.    
2. 12+ years of experience in native habitat restoration in Southern California.    
3. Understanding of weed biology and able to recognize non-native species in the field.    
4. Understanding of wildlife ecology and their habitat requirements.
