David Gardiner & Associates, LLC (DGA) seeks a full-time Senior Research Associate to work side-by-side with executive level staff and directly with clients in the corporate, non-profit, and financial services sectors.
Position Overview
The Senior Research Associate will provide research, analysis, writing and project management. The Senior Research Associate will have the opportunity to work directly with DGA's President, Senior Vice President, and other senior staff to produce high quality material that may be published by the firm or our clients. The Associate's projects will typically involve such issues as the impacts of climate change, competitiveness, renewable energy and/or energy efficiency, and climate change mitigation and/or adaptation efforts. The Associate will work on projects for a diverse range of clients, including Fortune 500 corporations, institutional investors, and top environmental non-profit organizations.
The Senior Research Associate will be responsible for research, analysis, writing, and project management, as well as other duties that will support the firm's mission.
Core Associate duties:
• Research. Provide research, analysis and writing for DGA projects.
- Research: Develop research metrics and methodologies and gather information through interviews, internet/hard copy documents, and other sources.
- Analysis: Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of primary and secondary research data.
- Writing: Author reports and other materials to be presented to clients, shared with select groups, or printed for public consumption.
Other Associate duties:
• Project Management. Manage the day-to-day status and progress of some projects, including time/budget management.
• Presentation Development. Work with the president and others to develop PowerPoint presentations to be delivered to or on behalf of clients.
• Marketing. Assist in the drafting of proposals and RFP responses.
Position requirements:
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience with climate change and energy, as well as sustainability or corporate responsibility.
• A graduate degree in Business, Law, or Policy focusing on the areas listed above.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and on multiple projects at the same time.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
Compensation: The Senior Research Associate will be offered competitive annual compensation in the range of
$42,000 - $50,000 based on experience, and will be eligible for generous health benefits, retirement benefits, paid vacation, sick days, and paid holidays.
