Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage wind power projects from pre-bid and buyout through construction and final acceptance.
• Responsible for managing project team to successfully implement subcontracts and project schedules, ensuring compliance with the contract requirements and financial targets.
• Manage engineers, vendors, suppliers, customers and others throughout the design and construction phase of the project.
• Produce and maintain an overall project schedule, to include drawings, due dates and delivery dates in order to complete the project on schedule.
• Responsible to accurately and timely communicate the project status, including schedule, financial, risk assessment, quality, safety and other key areas.
• Responsible for successfully implementing and tracking quality control for the construction of the project, including roads, foundations, high voltage electrical works, substations and wind turbine erection.
• Mentor and develop project team members.
• Must be able to represent Signal Wind professionally with clients, subcontractors and others.
• Must be willing to travel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Building Construction Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven track record that demonstrates the ability to manage $5 million to $35+ million projects effectively, within budget and on schedule.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 6+ years experience in construction, preferably on large commercial/multi-disciplined/complicated industrial, utility or wind energy construction.
• Experience in wind energy, highway, roadwork, drainage and large commercial/industrial foundation and/or high voltage utility work a plus.
• Knowledge of design of roads, foundations, high voltage overhead and underground electrical systems or substations is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of plans and specifications for civil and electrical work.
• Experience with computers preferably with knowledge of MS Office and MS Project.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
