Description
The General Services Agency of Alameda County is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager. Under direction of the Supervising Architect, this position will manage and coordinate a team of professionals (county staff, consultants, contractors) and be responsible for large construction projects of large dollar amounts, technical complexity, and political sensitivity.
Responsibilities include establishing and controlling budgets, schedules, and project scope. This position manages projects from planning through construction phase and warranty period. Compliance with the County's Green Building Ordinance and good sustainable design practices is standard operating procedure.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical), Architecture, or a closely related field and six years full-time, progressively responsible experience in project management in the areas of construction management, design management, architecture or related fields. Experience must include program responsibility, preparation of cost estimates and contract compliance.
A Master's degree is desirable, as is related certification or professional license.
Salary is $83,865.60 - $103,251.20 annually.
