Position Overview 

The
Senior Program Manager is accountable for all assigned production
projects/programs including direct and/indirect program management and office operations.

The incumbent will ensure all programs and office
services run smoothly and according to budget and timelines per contract
requirements. The incumbent will also support business development needs as
required and manage client relationships as needed. 

Essential Functions

Oversee
Production Projects/Programs:
 

  • Oversee the
    implementation and execution of all programs/projects ensuring they are
    delivered according to contract requirements, including:
  • Establish
    program goals, budgets and forecasts
  • Manage
    client relationships, including being primary point of contact, meetings, reporting,
    issue resolution, etc.
  • Provide insight and
    advice to Program Managers on contract execution, processes, and resource
    allocation


Business
Development:
 

  • Establish client
    relationships and actively promote increased scope of work for existing
    contracts
  • Attend customer
    meetings when needed
  • Support
    Program/Project Managers with unique or difficult customer relationships or
    requests


Manage
Office/Warehouse Operations:
 

  • Oversee office/warehouse
    building maintenance with Facilities Management. Approve program product
    selection, inventory, material procurement, logistics, recycling
  • Oversee program/office
    vehicle fleet management/maintenance


Manage
Direct Reports:

  • Select, hire, train
    and manage skilled employees
  • Motivate and manage
    employees through effective performance management and feedback systems
  • Provide leadership
    to program team members and facilitate the communication and interaction among
    functional representatives
  • Support corporate
    safety programs and initiatives


Technical
Support:
 

  • Ensure effective
    and continuous communication between Program Operations and the Technical
    Services team 

Qualifications 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must
    have a 4 year Business, Engineering or Energy Efficiency degree or
    equivalent
  • 5+
    years experience managing multiple technical projects
  • 3+
    years experience in management and supervision of diverse project teams,
    personnel
  •  Preferably
    at least 2 of these years have been with a Utility and/or Energy Efficiency
    organization
  • Preferred
    experience with government, community based and/or non-profit
    organizations
  • Ability to transfer
    technical information and policy requirements into practical implementation
    strategies of energy efficiency projects and programs
  • Knowledge of energy
    engineering principles, building science, state and national energy standards
    and building codes
  • Must have knowledge of energy efficiency regulations and trends in both
    commercial and residential environments
  • Must have proven project management skills
  • Must be aware of local events and actions at the regulatory levels which
    impact business growth
  • Highly effective
    written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have proven ability to lead and manage cross function and direct
    teams
  • Strong conflict
    resolution and team leadership skills
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Possesses an excellent understanding of relationship management
    specifically within utility and government organizations
  • Must
    have access to reliable vehicle with proper licensing and insurance
  • May
    be in client's homes
  • Lifting
    up to 25 lbs.
