Position Overview: EnergeiaWorks is seeking to fill the position of Senior Power Electronic Engineer in San Francisco, California. Canidates need knowledge of: Magnetics, complex circuits, analog & digital designs and Standards (UL & IEEE), and Bipolar transistors.   

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop products from concept through design, manufacturing and support to end of life
  • Design, Document, and Validate designs
  • Work with senior members of the development team
  • Work with compliance groups to ensure successful completion of certification process
  • Write Engineering Requirements, Test Plans, Validation Reports
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering required; MSEE or PhD Preferred
  • 5+ years work experience (non-academic) working with power supply design
  • Experience in power supply architectures; Flyback, Resonant, ZVS, Synchronous, Bridging, etc.
  • Understanding of the theory and application of magnetics to inductors and transformers to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Design knowledge with FETs, MOSFETs, SCRs, TRIACs, IGBTs, Bipolar Transistors, TVS, etc.
  • Working knowledge of PCB layout, component placement and routing
  • Able to model and simulate complex circuits
  • Experience merging analog and digital designs
  • Familiarity with UL, IEEE and other standards
