Position Overview 

Anchor QEA is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist in one of its East Coast offices (see our website for a list of locations). Other east coast locations may be considered for highly qualified candidates. 

Responsibilities 

  • This Senior Hydrogeologist will focus on leading hydrogeologic evaluations at large contaminated sediment sites throughout the United States, with particular emphasis on understanding surface water, sediment, and groundwater interactions.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site investigations, using state of the art groundwater monitoring technologies, developing conceptual site models related to site hydrogeology and water balances, and determining potential impacts to surface and groundwater resources using analytical and numerical modeling techniques.
  • The Senior Hydrogeologist will also beresponsible for identifying, marketing, and managing small to large multidisciplinary projects; developing new clients; and mentoring Anchor QEA staff. 

Qualifications 

  • The position requires 15+ years of previous experience in leading and managing projects in environmental consulting. Successful candidates must have a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geology or Engineering with relevant experience in hydrogeology.
  • Appropriate professional registrations/licenses are preferred, particularly in the State of New York.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
