Position Overview:
This is an outstanding opportunity for the seasoned energy engineer with a passion for implementing energy efficiency programs to truly make a difference in a market starved for effective and cost-reducing solutions. CLEAResult's success has spurred the dramatic growth of our company and we are launching a new practice in the Indianapolis area.
In this multi-faceted role you will identify and assess energy efficiency opportunities for large commercial, industrial, and educational institutions and team with our customers and partners to implement energy saving programs that qualify for incentive reimbursement from their utility providers. Responsibilities:
Based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area you will play a critical role in the success of our new regional office. After getting up to speed on our processes and programs you will utilize your proven ability to conduct on-site energy efficiency assessments to identify and evaluate efficiency opportunities (EEOs) for large commercial and industrial customers as well as educational institutions. Using your findings you will partner with our trade allies (contractors, engineering firms etc.) to drive customer adaptation of efficiency programs and launch necessary engineering projects to retro-fit or upgrade equipment and systems to ensure that they correctly qualify for incentive reimbursement programs. You will also conduct QA/QC inspections of completed measures and provide corrective actions should our clients' systems not comply with energy codes and/or programs.
Qualifications:
The technical foundation needed for this role is a solid understanding of mechanical engineering and professional experience in the following areas: identifying EEOs, developing measurement and verification (M&V) plans, building energy use models, conducting ASHRAE audits and running eQuest simulations. Additionally, strong communication skills will allow you to present your findings in a convincing manner that incentivizes the customer into implementing our recommendations and plans. While not required, a CEM designation will greatly enhance your candidacy for this role as will a true passion for decreasing energy use and increasing energy efficiency.
