Senior Electrical Engineer

Position Overview:

Bucks County MEP engineering firm is searching for a motivated, ambitious, and goal oriented Senior Electrical Engineer. We provide Engineering Services for customers in the following industries: Healthcare Assisted Living, Higher Education, Energy & Solar, Retail, Commercial Office & Flex, and Manufacturing.

The position requires direct design experience, preferably in a consulting environment, and well-rounded expertise in a multitude of commercial industries. Candidates will be evaluated based upon their technical knowledge of equipment and systems, field experience and engineering design skill sets.

The position requires the Engineer to perform roles related to detailed engineering design, project execution, technical support, and customer relationship development.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the execution of electrical design activities for assigned projects, through both self-execution and as leader of project team.
• Function as Project Lead on specific projects as required. Schedule, organize and direct other engineers in the completion of activities.
• Prepare, review and/or check engineering calculations, designs, drawings and other project documents related to this specific discipline on projects as required.
• Develop, maintain and upgrade technical standards/specifications to be used on specific projects, as well as centralized design basis and historical references.
• As a Senior Level Engineer, direct and provide technical guidance to other engineers within the company.
• Lead in the development of standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed within the department.
• Provide enhanced customer support as a technical liaison, and support business development initiatives as a technical recourse.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years engineering experience in commercial environments is required.
• Successful experience in leadership roles managing engineering teams in a consulting engineering environment is preferred.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential.??
• Project management experience including an understanding and use of project management and project control principles and tools would be beneficial.
• Candidates should have a thorough understanding and aptitude in the use of current computer software including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• The successful candidate must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Position requires a Professional Engineer License.
