Description

The Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) is a national nonprofit with global impact. CRS brings forth expert responses to climate change issues with the speed and effectiveness necessary to provide real-time solutions. Our leadership through collaboration and environmental innovation builds policies and consumer-protection mechanisms in renewable energy, greenhouse gas reductions, and energy efficiency that foster healthy and sustained growth in national and international markets.

The Green-e Energy Program, administered by the Center for Resource Solutions, is the nation's leading independent renewable energy certification and verification program. The program certifies renewable energy products sold by over 150 marketers and utilities and verifies over half of all renewable energy transactions in the voluntary market.  The Green-e logo provides an easy way for consumers to quickly identify environmentally superior energy options and is used by businesses to communicate the purchase and/or generation of certified renewable energy.

Green-e Marketplace is a program that enables businesses and other organizations to display the Green-e Marketplace Logo when they have purchased a qualifying amount of Green-e Certified renewable energy. CRS works with companies participating in the Green-e Marketplace program to ensure that their renewable energy commitment is being represented accurately and effectively.

Companies participating in Green-e Marketplace cross a wide range of industry sectors including manufacturing, banking and finance, organic foods, retail and business services.
