Overview

The Senior Analyst, Energy Efficiency position is responsible for providing information business operations systems support to Eversource’s Energy Efficiency (EE) business team for all three states, in the tracking and reporting of Energy Efficiency savings, customer incentives, and other customer/project data. Additionally, the position involves providing prompt and courteous customer service support to Energy Efficiency Systems.

Responsibilities include supporting the development and implementation of dashboards and reports as a part of Energy Efficiency projects as well as catering to complex data requests from various stakeholders including but not limited to business users and regulators. Additionally, the individual would be working on extracting and integrating data from various source systems, which in turn involves interaction with various technical and business teams.

Essential Functions

  • Works effectively with all levels of management in order to provide business systems support including problem-solving and recommendations.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely production data of Energy Efficiency projects for the states of CT, MA and NH.
  • Reviews and validates the EE savings in the tracking system, in coordination with energy engineers, using computational algorithms.
  • Co-ordinates with vendor(s) for necessary review and correction of data loaded into tracking system thru Ticketing system
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of Salesforce Dashboards as a part of Energy Efficiency Tracking System.
  • Acts as a liaison between Eversource Energy Efficiency business users as well as technical team, in translating business terminology to the technical team.
  • Responsible for development and support of Energy Efficiency reports, in accordance with user requirements, to track EE savings and goals.
  • Responsible for supporting data requests on Energy Efficiency data, from Evaluators, from regulators (CT DEEP,CT PURA, MA DOER, MA DPU, NH PUC, etc.), to provide relevant project and measure data .
  • Responsible for assistance of business user training & also external vendor training
  • Communicates results of and any issues with EE savings and goals data, including recommendations for course corrections to the project team.
  • Provides information to management to ensure savings and forecasts are on target, including the development of variance explanations.
  • Ensures communication through reports to Energy Efficiency project team on a regular basis.
  • Coordinates with all EE departmental areas on EE Savings and business reporting requirements.
  • Works effectively with all levels of management in order to provide business data analysis and problem-solving recommendations.
  • Supports the development and analysis of the Energy Efficiency tracking System (TrackSys).

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Knowledge and experience with the Energy Efficiency domain.
  • Sound understanding of the business data in TrackSys system.
  • Must be customer driven, display initiative, accepts responsibility, holds others accountable, participates in and facilitates team effectiveness, thinks and acts analytically.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions to support the mission, work independently and apply knowledge and skill to solve problems.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, in addition to other Microsoft Office applications (MS Power point, MS Word) and other business system applications like SQL, salesforce, business analytics
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in running queries in various systems and data gathering.
  • Requires understanding of regulatory processes and environment including the regulatory filing process.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Management or a related discipline or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Eight (8) plus years related experience. Energy Efficiency, Accounting, Finance, Economics/Mathematics and Regulatory, Budgeting or Planning experience preferred.
