Senior Advisor for Applied Corporate Social Responsibility

Citizens International, LLC is a for-profit small business based in Washington DC that was founded by Joseph P. Kennedy II and Brian Atwood, former Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development. We specialize in helping extractive industry design, launch and manage multi-party partnerships that advance social and economic development in local communities abroad. Our clients and partners include major corporations in the oil, gas, mining and logging industries, U.S. and foreign governments, charitable foundations, and NGOs.

We are seeking a senior-level professional to help us develop and manage our consulting business with the private sector in developing countries. Responsibilities will include both sales/marketing and project design/launch/management.

We are seeking a talented and driven individual who:

-- likes working in the field

-- wants to work in a dynamic and growing small business environment

-- hopes to do well by doing good

-- offers at least 15 years relevant experience and professional degree(s)

-- has experience working with or within extractive industry (oil, gas, mining, logging) in developing countries and with foundations, U.S. and foreign governments at central and local levels, NGOs and local communities

-- will flourish in multiple environments

-- is comfortable in corporate settings

-- is skilled both in sales and marketing of professional services and in the design, management and monitoring of technical assistance projects in developing countries

-- brings proven expertise in one or more technical fields relevant to the social impacts of extractive industry (e.g., workforce development and training, natural resources management, small business development, microfinance)

-- is proficient in one or more foreign languages (Spanish and Portuguese are particularly sought)
