Senior Account Supervisor, Public Relations

The New York office has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Supervisor to join our growing Industry & Technology Practice.

Position Overview: 

The Senior Account Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the development and direction of PR strategy and campaigns for companies in the energy, environmental, manufacturing  and enterprise technology industries, with a focus on power and renewable energy, waste management, space exploration and IT infrastructure.

The Sr. Account Supervisor will provide strategic direction on thought leadership and brand management campaigns, including media relations programs, message and brand development and management, events & awards, issues management and social media programs. The SAS will build relationships with clients, provide proactive client counsel, direct account administration and supervise a team of junior to mid-level staff.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will be skilled in program development and execution, including stakeholder communications, media relations, research, and account administration. Candidates must have excellent project management, client service and writing/editing skills, have the ability to communicate complex concepts and technical materials in a consumer-friendly way, and be a hands-on team leader. 

Experience working in a science, engineering, energy or other technical industry is required.

Additional Qualifications Include:

• BA or BS in science, humanities or communications.
• Minimum 4-5 years of PR experience - agency-side energy industry experience preferred.
• Experience overseeing multiple clients and managing staff.
• Exceptional project management and organization skills.
• Strong critical thinking and writing skills.
• Detail orientation.
