Senior Account Manager

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an independent not-for-profit organization that holds the largest database of corporate climate change information in the world, gathered on behalf of institutional investors, purchasing organizations and government bodies. The CDP Supply Chain Project enables global corporations to measure beyond their own carbon footprint to their suppliers' carbon emissions and climate change strategies, in order to maintain a resilient and sustainable supply chain. Since its formation in 2000, CDP has become the gold standard for carbon disclosure methodology and process, providing essential climate change data to the global market place.

Position Overview: 

CDP is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to account manage a large global corporation and take the lead on planning and launching an independent project as part of the CDP Supply Chain program.

Responsibilities: 

You will be responsible for driving change in thousands of companies that make up the supply chain of this leading retailer by encouraging them to measure and manage their GHG emissions and climate change risks and opportunities. This will be achieved through a combination of exceptional account management and successful delivery of this specific project.

As a key member of the dynamic CDP Supply Chain team you will be expected to identify synergies and overlap between the work streams. It will be your responsibility to shape and implement the project and provide regular status reports to internal and external contacts. In addition you may be required to organize roundtables, forums, research projects and other events that add value to this client.

Qualifications: 

The ideal candidate will have:

• account management experience with a business background
• a proven track record in project planning and implementation
• the desire to take ownership and drive the delivery of a successful project
• an ability to interact effectively with high level management
• excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
• self-motivation and an ability to take the initiative
• understanding of CDP Supply Chain and climate change impact on business
• a positive and enthusiastic outlook even whilst working under pressure
• attention to detail whilst being able to see the big picture

The successful candidate will work 5 days per week with occasional weekend or evening work where necessary. You must be legally able to work in the USA and willing to travel occasionally.

Compensation: Annual bonus, 24 days holiday, contributory pension provision after 3 months employment.
